About Us
Ben and Aimee have been dancing together for over 8 years and have had a very successful career in the amateur field. Recently turned professional, Ben and Aimee are passionate about helping others develop their own dancing skills and teaching dancers of all ages and skill levels.
​
Originally from New Zealand, Ben and Aimee started dancing together in 2014 and went on to become New Zealand Closed Amateur New Vogue Champions in 2015 and repeating that success in 2016. Ben and Aimee then made the decision to move to England in order to further their dancing careers and learn off some of the best teachers in the world.
​
Since living in England, Ben and Aimee were consistently ranked as the highest New Zealand Amateur Ballroom competitors in all major championships, including at the World Championships.
​
Ben and Aimee completed their Amateur career by returning home and winning the New Zealand Closed Amateur Ballroom Championships in 2019, and have since turned Professional to start the next stage in their career.
​
Since turning Professional in 2020 Ben and Aimee have regularly been the highest placed New Zealand couple at major competitions, including at the World Championships in 2021, also in 2021 they received the ranking of 22nd in the WDC World Professional Ranking Award.
​
In October 2022 Ben and Aimee became the New Zealand Professional Ballroom and New Vogue Champions, fulfilling a lifelong dream of theirs, followed closely by the World Professional Championships in Assen in November where they placed 31st.
​
They retired from their competitive career in December 2022.
​
They have also completed their Associate exams with ABD, and look forward to being able to judge at competitions.

Meet The Instructors
Benjamin Nicholson
Ben started dancing socially at 18 and started competing soon after. As he moved through the grades, he gained a greater knowledge in technique and has found essential elements he finds vital to his dancing.
He is very knowledgeable and looks forward to passing on that wisdom to others.

Aimee Nicholson
Aimee has been dancing since she was 8 years old, and her passion for dancing has since never faded, over the years she has picked up a lot of information that she has found fundamental to her dancing, and she looks forward to growing that passion and knowledge in others.
